On May 6, 2021, I'll be moderating an evening about care, commitment and maintenance in design as artist Elisa van Joolen launches her new project, EVJ, at Het Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam. It will be livestreamed, more info here.

My book Second Thoughts: On Having and Being a Second Child will be published  n the UK on April 15th, and in the US on April 20th. That’s right, very much in time for Mothers Day :)

From September 2021 untill February 2022, I’ll be a journalist in residence at The Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences (NIAS) in Amsterdam. Surrounded by an interdisciplinary group of scholars, I’ll be working on a book about informal and formal care, what care does for us, and what we need in order to take better care.
